Welcome to Rose Conservatory!

Music is such a fundamental part of human culture that it likely pre-dates literacy, the invention of the wheel and even the musical note itself. While people generally know what kind of music they like -and what they don’t- it’s possible to expand your appreciation by learning new ways to listen and play.

Inspiration

In tribute to my mother, Roseanna, a cherished music teacher whose influence touched countless lives, I am dedicated to bringing the gift of music to the children of my hometown, Brockton, Massachusetts. With the establishment of Rose Conservatory, I aspire to create a nurturing sanctuary where children can embark on a journey of learning, playing, and growing through the enchanting world of music.
We empower a diverse range of children as scholars, artists, and leaders through unique and rigorous academic remote learning assistance, mentorship and music education. We enrich the larger community through performance, service, and collaboration. The Rose Conservatory uses the most effective ways to achieve youth development goals through intensive investment in the positive social impact of music ensemble creation, rehearsal, public performance and academic assistance.

Our Founder

Greg Fernandes is founder of the Rose Conservatory in Brockton, transformed his challenging past into a passion for music and mentorship. Overcoming obstacles, he found solace in music inspired by his late mother's legacy as a music educator. Returning to Bridgewater State University, he received the education and support that led him to establish the conservatory, offering programs in orchestral, West African drumming, choral, violin, and more.
Together, culture and habit will motivate and nurture our students to become dedicated scholars, compassionate leaders, and skilled musicians.

To honor the life and legacy of my mother Roseanna, a gifted music teacher who touched many childrens’ lives.

My mother, Roseanna, was not just a music teacher; she was a beacon of inspiration whose passion for nurturing young minds through the beauty of music left an indelible mark on countless children's lives. Her unwavering dedication and infectious enthusiasm created an environment where learning transcended the notes on a sheet, fostering a love for music that resonated far beyond the classroom. Her ability to instill confidence, ignite curiosity, and kindle the flames of creativity became the guiding force behind my own commitment to carry forward her legacy. Her impact was not merely educational; it was transformational, and I am inspired every day by the profound influence she had on shaping the lives of those she touched. In founding Rose Conservatory, I seek to perpetuate her spirit of inspiration, providing a space where the joy of music becomes a catalyst for growth, learning, and endless possibilities.
